PRIVACY POLICY

Article 1 (Purpose)

 NEWJI Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") shall, in the operation of the services it provides (hereinafter referred to as "the Services"), appropriately and lawfully obtain and use the personal information (as defined in the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" [Act No. 57 of 2003, including amendments, hereinafter the same applies]) of users of the Services (hereinafter referred to as "Users").
The Company shall not obtain or use Users' personal information without adhering to this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") or any additional policies specified separately under this Policy (hereinafter referred to as "Individual Policies"). Furthermore, the Company will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage to Users' personal information, supervise its employees, and ensure the safe management of Users' personal information.

Article 2 (Individual Policies)

 In the event that the provisions of this Policy and Individual Policies differ, the provisions of the Individual Policies shall take precedence.

Article 3 (User Consent)

 Users are deemed to have provided valid consent to this Policy and the Individual Policies upon submitting their personal information to the Company when using the Services.

Article 4 (Acquisition of Personal Information)

 The Company shall not acquire personal information through deception or other improper means. Personal information is obtained from Users for the following purposes:

  • (1) Input into forms on the Company's websites (referring to the series of websites operated by the Company and collectively referred to as "the Website," including https://company.newji.ai).
  • (2) Contacting the Company.
  • (3) Responding to surveys conducted by the Company.
  • (4) Registration, participation, or use of bulletin boards or other services provided in conjunction with the Services.

Article 5 (Purpose of Use of Personal Information)

  •  The Company shall use personal information obtained from Users only to the minimum extent necessary to achieve the following purposes. However, the provisions of this Article shall not take precedence over the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" or other applicable laws and regulations:
    • (1) To exercise the Company's rights and fulfill its obligations to Users under the terms of use for the Services.
    • (2) To contact and provide information to Users.
    • (3) To perform tasks requested by Users.
    • (4) To create and manage statistical data to improve the Services.
    • (5) To provide after-sales service related to the Services.
    • (6) To notify Users about the Company's products or services.
  •  The Company may change the purposes of use of personal information. Any changes will be made only within a reasonably related scope to the original purposes and will be announced on the Website when changes occur.

Article 6 (Accuracy and Deletion of Personal Data)

 The Company shall make efforts to ensure that Users' personal data (as defined under the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information") is accurate and up-to-date within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use of personal information. When the data is no longer needed, it will be deleted in a manner that makes recovery impossible.

Article 7 (Outsourcing)

 When outsourcing the handling of Users' personal data, the Company shall exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the contractor to ensure the safe management of the entrusted personal information. Furthermore, the Company will not entrust personal data to businesses that are deemed to lack adequate measures for the safe management of personal data.

Article 8 (Provision to Third Parties)

  •  The Company shall not, in principle, provide Users' personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the User. If the Company provides personal information to third parties, it will appropriately create records related to the provision of such personal information.
  •  When Users use the Services to transmit legal documents to third parties, the Company may provide the following information to such third parties solely for the purpose of identifying the sender of the transmitted documents. In such cases, the Company will not provide personal information beyond the minimum necessary to achieve the purpose of identifying the sender of the legal documents:
    • (1) The User's name or entity name.
    • (2) The User's email address.
    • (3) Other personal information entered by the User into the legal documents transmitted through the Services.
  •  When receiving personal information from third parties, the Company shall verify the details of the provision, record the name of the provider, the date of receipt, and relevant confirmation details.

Article 9 (Requests from Users)

  •  The Company shall, upon receiving a request from a User for the disclosure of personal data held by the Company, confirm the request and, in principle, provide the requested personal information in writing within a reasonable period. If it is determined that the requested personal data does not exist, the Company will notify the User of this in writing within a reasonable period.
  •  The Company will charge actual costs as a fee for responding to disclosure requests regarding personal data held by the Company. The fee amount and payment method will be notified in writing at the time of disclosure.
  •  If a User requests correction, etc., of their personal data held by the Company, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation to achieve the purpose of use. If correction, etc., is deemed necessary, the Company will make the correction, etc., free of charge.
  •  If a User requests the suspension of use or similar actions regarding their personal data held by the Company due to unauthorized use or acquisition beyond the scope of the stated purpose, and if the request is found to be justified, the Company will suspend use, etc., to the extent necessary to rectify the violation, free of charge.
  •  When making a request under this Article, Users must send a copy of a document verifying their identity, such as a driver's license or health insurance card, along with the request details and their contact information, to the Company by mail. If the Company is unable to confirm the requester's identity as the User, the Company may request additional documentation in writing to verify the User's identity.

Article 10 (Handling of Cookies and Related Tools)

  • Cookies

     The Company may use cookies to customize its website to individual customer needs or to improve website content and services to enhance customer satisfaction. Customers can refuse to accept cookies or enable a warning when cookies are received by adjusting their browser settings. However, this may result in limitations such as the inability to use personalization features.

  • Analytics and Advertising Tools

    The Company uses the following analytics and advertising tools provided by third-party companies to improve its website and services. These tools may use cookies to measure website usage, display content and advertisements tailored to customers, and analyze metrics such as advertisement impressions and click counts. In doing so, part of the user's information, such as IP addresses, may be collected by the respective third-party companies. By using the website, users are deemed to have consented to such data processing by these third-party companies for the aforementioned purposes. Furthermore, these third-party companies may combine this information with other data provided by users to the respective companies.  Matters related to the handling of Users' personal information that are not specified in this Policy shall be governed by the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" and other applicable laws and regulations.
